AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies Executive Elected to
National Urban Fellows Board of Directors
Philadelphia, PA – AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies today announced that Flora M. Castillo, Vice President of Corporate Marketing, was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Urban Fellows (NUF), a leadership development organization based in New York. AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, a leading organization of Medicaid managed care plans and related businesses in the United States, helps its members get care, stay well and build healthy communities.
“I am excited to be elected to the National Urban Fellows Board of Directors. This board appointment will enable me to help professionals, particularly people of color and women, learn how to create equality and social justice in their workplaces and communities,” explained Castillo. Castillo will serve a six-year term. In this position, her responsibilities will include policy, planning and oversight as well as resource development and outreach in support of the National Urban Fellows mission.
National Urban Fellows is a leadership development organization founded to counter the under-representation of people of color and women in leadership positions. The National Urban Fellows program is a 14-month, full-time graduate degree program for mid-level professionals. Graduates of the program receive a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the City of New York’s Bernard M. Baruch College, School of Public Affairs. This program has over 1,100 graduates who work in public and non-profit sectors to create positive changes in communities nationally and internationally.

National Urban Fellows
