Thomas G. Lyman is Senior Vice President of Market Expansion and Planning for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. He is responsible for investigating new markets, developing business plans and feasibility studies, maintaining the company sales "pipeline," developing and marketing of new products (including PerforMED, AmeriHealth Mercy’s administrative services and care coordination initiative), responding to requests for proposal (RFPs) and providing marketing support for the HMO and provider sponsored network administrative service product lines. He assists in the development of strategic alliances, health plan acquisitions and shaping the organization's national strategy.
In his 16 years at the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, Mr. Lyman has been instrumental in developing successful Medicaid Managed Care organizations and other Medicaid contracts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; New Jersey (statewide); St. Louis, Missouri; Houston, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Delaware (Statewide); South Carolina (Statewide/Acquisition); Florida and Indiana. He also served as Acting Executive Director of Mercy Health Plan of New Jersey in 1994 and Co-acting Executive Director of Passport Health Plan in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. He also was responsible for initial sales and marketing efforts (2002 - 2005) for AmeriHealth Mercy's nationally recognized PerformRx, The Next Generation PBM.
Mr. Lyman has over 25 years in the health care sector. Prior to joining the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, he was a health care manager in Ernst & Young's Physician/Hospital Mid-Atlantic consulting practice, serving clients throughout the East Coast, and was also the Director of Medical Billing for the Mercy Health System Faculty Practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania. He also worked as a Vice President at Berwick Hospital Corporation in Berwick Pennsylvania. |
